If you asked San Diego troubador Lenny Morris what his favorite genre of music is, he would say...music. Having grown up acting, as well as singing, he finally picked up a guitar at 12-years old and immediately began writing his own tunes with his best friend. Having been more of a singer, and his friend being the son of a very talented guitar player, it was effortless writing music on their old school Tascam recording cassette player.
Fast forward nearly 20 years, and Morris is still writing music. More importantly though, he has turned music into his profession. With residencies at some very notable San Diego restaurants and having been featured at some of the best venues the city has to offer, Morris is a very versatile musician who adapts to wherever and whomever he has the chance to play for. He has been featured and interviewed on KUSI-TV which can be seen by clicking , 102.1FM, 107.9FM, as well as multiple articles in the San Diego Reader featuring his music and entrepreneurial endeavors. He and his band have had the opportunity to play at some respected venues and restaurants including House Of Blues (Main Stage), The Belly Up, Humphrey's By The Bay, Hard Rock Cafe, Campland By The Bay, Herringbone, Tilted Kilt, Tin Roof, Gordon Biersch, Hennessey's, Hooley's, El Niguel Country Club, Harney Sushi, Le Parfait Paris, Whiskey Girl, Moonshine Flats, and many, many more. Morris is also a popular choice for weddings, private events, corporate events, and has been hired to perform for some wonderful occasions including baby christenings and baptisms, engagement dinners, proposals, birthdays, and many other celebrations. After taking nearly a 4-year hiatus to raise his son since he was a newborn, Morris is back to playing and performing full-time, and is devoting more time than ever to writing his original music. With a polished, rhythmic guitar style and pristine, soulful vocals deriving from his classical and musical theatre background, he has the range to sing anything from blues, rock and soul to R&B and pop.
